I was contacted a few weeks ago by Geerah, a photographer on the West Side of Olympia.  We met and decided to take on a challenging shoot – my master’s thesis dresses.  These four dresses were made for girls in sizes that don’t really exist in the real world.  But I liked the idea of Geerah shooting them because she uses a black backdrop for her photography.  Of all my garments I felt that these would really look great on a black background since they’re so contrasting, and a bit of an edgier design.

So the challenge was presented – find models that can actually fit into the dresses!  We were lucky enough to locate three fabulous models that rocked the dresses, fans, and hair pieces.  Our makeup artist was new to me, and did great gold eyes.   And I got the best surprise of all….. my favorite Devi was the hairstylist for the shoot!  Thanks to everyone – can’t wait to see the final edits!!!!

As part of the Versus show for The Heroes (http://www.heroeseverywhere.com), I was invited to participate in a photoshoot today to develop the promotional materials that will be plastered around town….  Was fortunate to have a past model contact me again to help out, as well as one of The Heroes herself!  We were blessed with some amazing weather – the rain held off until after we were done – and some not so amazing traffic – Go Huskies!  And had a great day irregardless.  So of course I took some behind the scenes shots *amateur!* and will post some of the final edits when they’re done!
