Many of you know that when I graduated with my Master’s, I was convinced that costume design was it for me. That was my calling. And you also probably remember how quickly I decided that I was wrong. I retired from the costume design industry at the ripe age of 24. So it may surprise you that I recently agreed to help costume a short film.
A friend of mine called in August – he’s directing/producing a short film and was wondering if I could help. Honestly, I wasn’t terribly jazzed about the idea of getting back into costuming. But once I heard the specifics of it – there was no way I could say no!
I met with each of the four actors individually to look through their personal wardrobes, met with the writer and director/producer to review the costumes, and went shopping for the garments we were missing. And today began the weekend of shooting.
Shooting continues for the rest of the weekend into Tuesday. You can find more information about ‘Tying the Knot – Short Film’ here: ps://www.facebook.com/pages/Tying-The-Knot-Short-Film
