New Year, New Perspective
You may have seen the meme’s floating around….
2016 - Caterpillar
2017 - Chrysalis
2018 - Butterfly
2016 - preparation
2017 - transformation
2018 - annihilation
Have you noticed that these same sentiments pop up…. Every year? We enter into the new year all gung-ho and excited, and by the end of the year we’re “over it.” Then, the next year there we are - falling into the same trap of entering into the next year all gung-ho and excited, only to end that year “over it.” Again and again and again.
This is the year. This is it. 2018. It has to be THE YEAR. The best year yet!
After a major two weeks in Seattle, I have discovered a whole new perspective on the energy of the new year. Moving into 2018, I’m feeling less inclined to push into the year to force success. Instead, I have found more of a settled peace of being right here, right now, in this moment, being present with what is here.
That’s not to say I don’t have goals and intentions…... But this year, they’re different.
My goals for the year look like this:
Support - I feel stable, grounded, held and strong as I bring on knowledgeable experts who help me execute and grow my business.
Community - I feel full, joyful and expansive while surrounded by the best of the best, heart-centered and powerful inner circle.
Service - I feel in flow, rejuvenated, harmony and alignment as I share, teach and expand others towards their leap and ultimate personal evolution.
Love - I feel all the feels in giving and receiving of love constantly.Where did this shift come from? As I was looking back on 2017, a year that surprised me at every turn, it was not about what I accomplished (don’t get me wrong - I accomplished a lot!). What really stood out in my reflection was who I became over the course of the year.
There is no “there.” There is no point of arrival. There is no magical land where the shitty + unfair circumstances and situations disappear. This year will not be THE YEAR anymore than last year was.
So, will 2018 be amazing and epic? Yes, absolutely. Just like every year prior and every year that is yet to come.
And this year, instead of pushing to manipulate it and setting expectations for it to be something it’s not, why not enjoy the hell out of being present for the ride - situations, circumstances and all? Because, like it or not, that’s what we all signed up for. And life is not about what happens to you, but how you respond and who you become at the end of it all.
Happy New Year, my love.
Love + Leaps,
PS. There are only TWO spots remaining for the retreat in Los Angeles at the end of this month. This is an opportunity to heal any fears/resistance/procrastination you have around your leap, dive into seeing your vision bigger + more deeply than you ever have before and truly set up a system for the successful implementation of your leap. If you want one of these two spots, send an email to email@example.com and we can set up a time to see if it’s in alignment for you.
